RADOLID
PROTECTION CAPS
Radolid
Protection Caps will ensure proper bolting even after years!
At
the left is an example of bolted joints with Radolid
Protection Caps (one cap cut open) and without protection caps.
After a five-year test the effects of atmospheric corrosion is very
damaging and therefore costly.
Radolid
Protection Caps are easily installed by just pressing-on to the
bolted joint by hand. The barbed edge snaps on and prevents the
caps from accidentally being knocked off. Radolid
Caps are reusable. We also recommend loading one-quarter of the
cap with Advance high melt corrosion inhibitor grease for added
protection.
Standard
Radolid
Caps are manufactured of low density black UV-resistant polyethylene
that resist temperatures of -84 degrees F to +210 degrees F. They
are also resistant to water, brine, hydraulic fluid, diesel, greases,
gasoline, hydrochloric acid concentrate, sulphuric acid to 40%,
nitric acid to 40%, ammonia, and acetum. Further resistance properties
can be given upon request.
Standard
Protective Caps are black but are also available in clear, white,
red, grey, silver and other special colors on request. Different
types manufactured include Type (1) for standard nuts or bolts without
washers, Type (2) fits over a nut or bolt with washer, an adjustable
telescopic two piece cap and different lengths to even fit check
nuts. Our caps are sized to fit heavy hex nuts only; they will not
fit finished nuts properly. Radolid
Protection Caps are manufactured in sizes to fit 1/4 inch to 3 3/4
inch diameter bolts or studs. High temperature material of Polyamid
A4H for use up to +430 degrees F is available.
